Lorraine Kelly doesn't want Katie Hopkins on her show because she couldn't 'be nice'
PRESENTER Lorraine Kelly has became the latest celebrity to hit out at Katie Hopkins, after she claimed she doesn't want the controversial columnist appearing on her show.
The 55-year-old said she'd like to ban the reality star from appearing on her ITV show.
In an interview with the Daily Star Lorraine confessed she would have a hard time being kind to Katie, 40.
She said: "People are usually there to promote something, so they're always OK. Certainly with me, I've never had any nonsense.
"But with Katie Hopkins, now there is someone I'm not sure I could be nice to. I think that's I'd draw the line there.
"When people come on my show I treat them with the respect I would expect in return. But there are always exceptions."
Lorraine added: "I don't want to ask her on."
The Glasgow-born journalist's comments came the day after former Loose Women star Denise Welch hit out at Katie online.
The 56-year-old actress branded the former Apprentice star a "vile bully" after she made an insensitive comment about autism.
Katie posted: "Have just seen that lovely Ed Miliband on my TV. For one so clearly on the spectrum - he really is a high achiever. Well done Ed. Go you."
Riled by the inappropriate comment, Denise replied: "Wow! We've had mental illness, dementia, weight issues and today... autism!!!"
The star then added: "Go @KTHopkins you vile bully."
