Davina McCall admits she nearly 'ruined' marriage proposal with 'miserable' confession
TV icon Davina McCall is engaged to hairdresser fiancé, Michael Douglas, and the pair have been in a relationship for the past six years

Davina McCall has confessed that she almost "ruined" her partner's marriage proposal. The TV icon—who was previously married to Andrew Leggett and Pet Rescue presenter Matthew Robertson—has been in a relationship with celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas for the past six years. She shares children Holly, Tilly, and Chester with her ex-husband Matthew, whom she split from in 2017. Davina recently got engaged to Michael in a heartwarming clifftop proposal, and now she has revealed more details about the sweet moment.
Speaking on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio UK, she said: "It happened in Ibiza. What was quite funny was that after lunch, Michael had booked a lunch which was like, not that usual on a beach, and he wanted to take me to a beach where we'd been with all the kids before. So I was like, 'Oh, this is really nice.'

"And then he said, 'Let's go for a walk around the cliffs.' Now I'm in Ibiza, right? When I'm in Ibiza, I dress for Ibiza, Chris. I'm in some god-forsaken cowboy boot, little pink cowboy boots with steel toe caps, and I'm not in a cliff climbing outfit."
She continued: "But I could see he really wanted me to like it, it would make him happy. And I thought, 'Oh, bless.' Like he wants to show me something beautiful. So I was like, 'Stop being miserable and get up the cliff.'"
The happy news comes after Davina underwent a procedure last November to remove a benign tumour. Despite getting engaged, she revealed that she has no plans to walk down the aisle any time soon.
She told The Mirror: "We go on honeymoons all the time but without getting married. We're in the honeymoon period after all these years. I couldn't be more happy. And sometimes there's an idea of, 'Why change anything?'"
Davina also says getting older has been a blessing, and she feels much happier now than when she was in her 20s. She said: "I'm enjoying my life so much, and I always thought getting older was terrible.
"But I just get happier and happier the older I become. I might not have the nice, tight skin that everybody else has, but inside my heart and my head, I'm content."
