Legendary singer Michael Bolton shared a rare family photo on social media following his shocking brain tumour diagnosis.
The icon celebrated his 72nd birthday on Wednesday (February 26) and marked the special occasion with his children and grandchildren.
Bolton took to Facebook to share the heart-warming photo with fans which showed him and his family all smiles as they sat around a table in a room full of decorations.
The post was captioned: “Spending my birthday filled with love and gratitude. Wishing you all the same, today and everyday!”
This celebration comes just days after Bolton was forced to cancel an upcoming London show to recover from brain surgery amid his cancer battle.

In front of him was a slice of birthday cake and a birthday banner was hung on a wall behind him.
Two of his adult daughters, Holly and Taryn, were present in the snapshot alongside three of his granddaughters, while his third daughter, Isa was noticeably missing from the photo.
In his recent announcement, Bolton shared explained to fans: “You all know how much I was looking forward to this show but I am continuing to heal from surgery.”
On Instagram, he added: “Thank you for all your love and positive energy over this past year. I am so grateful to have the most supportive fans in the world.”

Bolton revealed he was diagnosed with brain cancer in late 2023, which required him to undergo “immediate surgery”.
In January 2024, he shared a candid Facebook post with his fans and shared a health update which read: “I want to start by wishing everyone a very happy and healthy new year! I also want to share that 2023 ended up presenting me with some very unexpected challenges.
“Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery."
An optimistic Bolton added: “Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success. I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family.”
After announcing a “break from touring,” the singer added: "It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon.”
