The National TV Awards normally sees a string of showbiz couples strut their stuff down the red carpet.

But this year four celebrities will NOT be attending the glitzy bash at London's O2 for fear of running into their ex.

We can reveal former This Morning stars Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have both decided to stay at home to avoid an awkward run in, while Love Island stars Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague are also swerving the glitzy bash.

Both couples were invited to the night but neither have taken up their invites.

A source said: "Organisers of the bash very much wanted Eamonn, Ruth, Molly and Tommy to attend; they are well loved.

"But they aren't nominated and they haven't taken up invites to be in boxes to watch the show.

"Those around them think that they want to avoid any run-ins or unwanted attention at all costs.

"The break-ups are still very raw and painful. The last thing they want is to be asked about it, so it's easier to stay at home."

Eamonn and Ruth are normally regulars at the NTAs while Tommy and Molly-Mae walked the red carpet together in 2020.

Ruth and Eamonn announced they are divorcing in a joint statement released in May.

A spokesperson said: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

The former This Morning presenters were married for 14 years and in a relationship for 22 years. They share one son, Jack, who was born in 2002.

Ruth has not discussed the split publicly, but Eamonn took time out of his GB News show to thank fans for their support shortly after the statement was released.

The 64-year-old said: "Just before we move on we'd just like to thank people for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation. Your support for both of us is very much appreciated."

Meanwhile Molly Mae has confirmed she will not publicly disclose reasons behind her split from Tommy but will always “value, respect and have a lot of love” for him.

The pair were runners up on series five of ITV's Love Island in 2019 and became engaged in July 2023.

The former couple also starred in the Netflix reality series At Home With The Furys, together with Fury’s half-brother, former heavyweight world boxing champion Tyson Fury.

They have one-year-old daughter Bambi together.

But last month they announced they had split in separate social media messages, with fans flocking to support Hague online.

The boxer, 25, was accused of 'brazenly kissing' jewellery assistant Milla Corfixen, 20, in a nightclub during a boozy holiday in North Macedonia earlier this year.

Tommy said the "false" allegations were “horrendous” and “heartbreaking”.

The TV source said: "There could be a last minute change of plan and one of the stars might want to show that they're not as heartbroken as everyone thinks but right now it's too hard for all of them to even entertain the idea."

Eamonn, Ruth, Tommy and Molly did not return requests for comment.
