Brian May recovering in £25m mansion as wife Anita Dobson cares for him after stroke
EXCLUSIVE: Brian May's wife Anita Dobson will be taking care of the Queen legend in their £25m mansion as he recovers from his stroke.
Brian May will recuperate in his £25million Surrey mansion by "eating lentils, watching birds and sitting in silence with wife Anita Dobson" - after suffering a stroke.
The Queen legend, who was rushed to hospital last week, is now "grounded" on doctors orders to stop his heart rate from rising too much.
And we can reveal the 77-year-old will be living on a vegan diet while holed up at his three storeyed mansion in Windlesham, Surrey, set in an estate of more than 200 acres.
A source said: "Anita will be looking after Brian as much as she can inbetween working to make sure he gets better. Being in the countryside has done them both a world of good and that's just the way they will continue.
"He'll stick to his vegan diet and take walks in the countryside around their home. Just looking at the birds and animals will make a massive difference.
"They also enjoy sitting in silence and sharing peaceful moments together."
Last year Anita said: "I would love to meditate but I find it difficult to find the time so I try to find moments of silence.
"We've moved to the country and I've found that very helpful, looking at the birds and the animals.
"That settles you down and it makes you realise we are all in this world and we all have the same problems and you're not alone."
The formal gardens are bordered first by extensive parkland, beyond which lie arable land and more woodland, which includes nearby Swinley Forest.
And when Brian tires of nature he can relax in the East Wing which boasts an indoor swimming pool, studio, spa, sauna and gym.
Anita met Queen guitarist Brian, 75, in 1986 after she found fame playing wild card Angie Watts in EastEnders. They married in 2000.
“All of a sudden, out of the blue, I didn’t have any control over this arm, so it was a little scary.
“I had the most fantastic care and attention from Frimley Hospital; blue lights flashing the lot, very exciting.
