Culinary ace Matt Tebbutt was left rather red-faced after dropping a bombshell revelation about his marriage. The Saturday Kitchen and Food Unwrapped presenter tied the knot with his wife Lisa back in the 90s.

The couple used to run a pub turned AA restaurant together, but stepped back from the business to gain a better work-life balance.

Now, the couple live a more tranquil lifestyle, residing in a stunning country home in Wales with their two children: Henry and Jessie.

However, their relationship didn't start in the most conventional of ways. Speaking on the Grilled by The Staff Canteen podcast alongside Anna Haugh last year, Matt revealed [at the time] that they'd been married for 23 years.

Next month, the couple will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. "Well done me, go me," he joked.

"Sometimes it's touch and go let's be honest, but so far we're still here."

However, when asked how the lovebirds first met, the TV chef unexpectedly blurted out: "I used to go out with her sister - next [question]! Fun fact."

Anna quickly interjected: "How did I not know that? That is so you, well done you," to which Matt laughed and quipped: "Moving on."

"I love Lisa and I think the two of you together are brilliant because she's just as mischevious, if not more, than you" Anna added.

In the podcast, Matt also revealed he identifies as 'veggie curious', but argued could never ditch dairy products and turn into a fully fledged vegan.

"I could easily go vegetarian I think, not easily because I'd miss wobbly pork bellies and Chinese hot pots and things like that," he explained.

"I'm eating more and more vegetarian food. I'd love to be in a place where you could just eat great quality meat.

"Very often I'll go for veggie food because you just feel a lot better later on that day."
