Oti Mabuse has shared an update on her daughter after revealing things "took a turn" during her christening last week. The former Strictly Come Dancing pro, 33, has been open with her followers about motherhood since welcoming her baby girl in late 2023.

Oti's daughter, who she shares with husband Marius Lepure, struggles with her sleeping patterns, high temperatures and has endured several visits to the hospital.

In her latest update, Oti shared a sweet video of Marius holding their daughter, revealing her bedtime routine has been "transformed" thanks to new lights they were gifted.

Alongside the video, the Dancing on Ice judge penned: "Just got gifted this gem that’s transformed our bedtime routine into a blissful escape.

"From soothing scents to calming tunes, every night now feels like a retreat for her especially after such a difficult week. Who knew a little lighting could bring so much peace?"

Last week, Oti shared how her eight-month-old came down with a "fever" during her christening. She explained: "This past weekend, we enjoyed christening our beautiful daughter in the church. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

"We are committed to raising her to be a kind, compassionate human with solid faith. The evening took a dramatic turn when she came down with a fever, but we’re keeping a close eye on her. At eight months, she’s growing and changing so much every day!"

Oti added: "We laughed, cried, and celebrated together, cherishing every moment. Thank you to everyone who made this day so special."

Oti's daughter was born prematurely and spent six weeks in intensive care after Oti developed sepsis during pregnancy. Speaking on the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Oti recalled: "She was very premature, she came really, really early - unexpected premature which was a big, big shock.

"Going through that emotional trauma that you go through when you have a premature baby, and then being in hospital with the little one for six weeks and then finally coming out and having her home with friends and family over Christmas was really nice."

The South African star added: "She was in a critical condition really for the first six weeks and me and Marius just really wanted to be there mentally, physically, emotionally."
