There is a light at the end of the tunnel for Holly Willoughby in the midst of her stalker trial, an expert has claimed.

The former This Morning presenter has been dominating the headlines in recent weeks thanks to her alleged stalker, Gavin Plumb, 37, going on trial.

Plumb was found guilty of having masterminded his "ultimate fantasy" by assembling tools to aid him to kidnap, rape and murder Holly between the years 2021 and 2023.

The security guard was arrested on October 6 and charged after unknowingly disclosing his alleged plan to an undercover police officer from the States.

He was found guilty in a unanimous verdict at Chelmsford Crown Court after denying all charges made against him.

While Holly hasn't attended any of the court hearings, the trial has likely taken its toll on the presenter.

Social Media Expert for TV, Film & Entertainment Harvey Morton has shared how he believes the situation has impacted her, pointing out: "The trial will have had a massive impact on Holly's mental health and her family life.

"Nobody should have to go through what Holly has experienced and I would imagine it's going to take Holly a while to be able to process the trial and what has happened," Harvey added.

He did, however, note that the future is bright for Holly, saying: "Embracing new projects might be a welcome distraction for her and I hope she's getting the help and support she deserves."

The entertainment expert went on: "Holly has some exciting opportunities on the horizon, we know she is going to be hosting Bear Hunt with Bear Grylls for Netflix and it's likely she will earn in the region of £1m for this."

And while it has been a tough time for the star, Harvey also claimed Holly could benefit from her woes.

"There's a real opportunity for Holly to document what she has been going through in a book, I'm sure the public would love to hear her thoughts on what we have all seen in the press over the last year - and many publishers would love this too - there's no doubt if Holly was to share her story, it would be a bestseller.

"There's also an opportunity for Holly to reinvent herself, and to distance herself from This Morning and the trial, I think the new Netflix series will be the start of her new chapter."
