Dick Van Dyke may be edging closer to 100 but he sure still had a spring in his step.

The 98-year-old Hollywood star has impressed fans for years with his energetic and enthusiastic energy and he has now shared his unexpected weekly routine that helps him stay fit.

Dick made an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter's podcast Awards Chatter recently as he candidly spoke about embracing his golden years while still being a working actor.

Dick went on to declare his love for swimming and working out, with his wife Arlene Silver, 52.

He shared that they try to spend time in the gym three times a week as he quipped: "And I'll be going to the pool as soon as this is over!"

However, reaching such an old age does come with its downfall.

He was asked what he considered to be the "best part and the worst part" of living as long as he had, to which Dick replied: "Losing friends, for one thing, almost everybody's gone."

"Short-term memory gets to be a real problem," he also shared, as he poked fun at himself: "I remember what I did when I was 15, but I can't remember what I had for breakfast."

Elsewhere in the interview, the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang star discussed his past battle with alcoholism.

His addiction began while he was filming The Dick Van Dyke Show, as he confessed that he wasn't quite sure what caused his drinking problem to spiral.

"In high school, I hung around with some guys who smoked, I didn't. But they finally got me to take one and in no time [it took], so I have to be careful," he explained.
