Princess Anne was taken to hospital after she suffered injuries while out walking on her Gloucestershire estate, Buckingham Palace has said. It is believed the Princess Royal was kicked by a horse while out for an evening stroll in Gatcombe Park on Sunday.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Piers Morgan issued a "breaking news" announcement as he offered his well wishes to the royal before sharing his concern following the accident.
He penned: "BREAKING: Princess Anne is in hospital with head injuries after what is believed to have been a horse-related incident at her Gatcombe Park estate. Expected to make a full, speedy recovery."
"I wish HRH all the best," before sharing his concerns after he described the Princess Royal as an "indomitable lady".
In a six-word response, he said: "Must have been quite a bang," before adding, "for this indomitable lady to allow herself to be hospitalised".
The presenter's 8.7 million followers rushed to comment on the post as they offered their well wishes to Princess Anne.
One wrote: "That’s unfortunate. Wishing her a speedy recovery."
A second offered: "It's concerning to hear about Princess Anne's accident, and I join you in wishing her a speedy recovery. Accidents can happen unexpectedly, even to the most resilient individuals. It's reassuring that she is expected to recover fully, and I hope she receives the best possible care during her time in the hospital."

The Princess Royal, a skilled horsewoman who competed in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, is understood to be awake, but due to Anne’s concussion, the precise details cannot be ascertained at the moment.
The 73-year-old remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, "as a precautionary measure for observation" but is expected to make a full and swift recovery.
