Kym Marsh shares the ‘sentimental’ item she put inside her dad’s coffin after his death
Kym Marsh has revealed she placed an unusual item in her dad David's coffin as she explains the sentimental reason behind it.

Kym Marsh was left heartbroken following the death of her beloved dad - but she's adamant his spirit is with her every day.
The Coronation Street alum revealed she was her father David’s “shadow” before his devastating death in January this year, which came three years after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
While Dave is no longer here physically, the 48-year-old actress often spots little signs that he is watching over her.
One sign came following David’s appearances on BBC One’s Morning Live, which Kym presented, where she would often discuss living with the disease and warn other men what symptoms to look out for.
He became a firm favourite among Morning Live fans and had a running joke on air with Kym’s co-host Gethin Jones about how he would regularly ask his famous daughter to “lend me a fiver”.
Speaking to The Sun, Kym recalled her and her dad's time on the morning show: “Every time Dad came on Morning Live, he would say to Gethin, ‘She’s still not given me that fiver’. It was a constant running joke.
“Shortly after dad passed away, I randomly found a five-pound note in my car. I don’t know if people believe in stuff like this but I don’t know how it got there," she candidly shared.
“I put that in the coffin with Dad and I said, ‘There you go, Dad, I’ve given you your fiver now’.”
She added: “Whether you believe in it or not, it’s not wrong to take comfort from something."

“It is holding on to those moments which are so important to me,” she added.
The sweet admission comes on the heels of Kym paying an emotional tribute to David on Father's Day.
Kym uploaded a selfie with her dad as well as a picture of his memorial stone.
"Father’s Day will never be the same. I miss you daddy," she penned alongside it, as fans, friends and family rallied around her in the comment section.
