This Morning favourite Alison Hammond has been showing off her slimmer figure recently and opened up about her impressive weight loss and fitness secrets.
This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has wowed viewers with her trimmed-down physique, attributing her transformation to her fitness journey.
Helming the popular ITV show on Friday, June 14, alongside co-host Josie Gibson, the television star, aged 49, donned skinny jeans paired with a chic white blouse and cropped jacket during the programme's dedicated fitness slot.
Dr Zoe, the show's health expert, guided the charismatic star through a knee-strengthening exercise. Alison candidly admitted dealing with knee discomfort but shared her recent dedication to weightlifting, which has been helping.
The mother-of-one started her transformational journey towards healthier living in 2020 following the heartbreaking loss of her mother.
One major change included eliminating sugar from her diet, an adjustment that brought observable benefits to her waistline.
In a heart-to-heart held two years ago on Lorraine Kelly's podcast, Alison confessed that she had often noticed her fuller figure when viewing her reflection. She recalled: "Sometimes I look at myself and go, 'Wow, I am a big girl'.
"But I like taking up a bit of space. I take a little bit of extra space in the world and I don't think I'm hurting anyone.
"We're all going to die eventually. I might die a little bit sooner, but I'm going to live my life to the fullest. And if I do die sooner, I'm going to have a fantastic life," reports the Mirror.
Dermot O'Leary had to bow out of his presenting duties on the ITV show last Friday, leaving Josie to step in - and the viewers were thrilled with the change.
The dynamic duo of Alison and Josie made quite the entrance, emulating Thelma and Louise, complete with a sports car for their dramatic arrival.
Fans took to social media to express their delight, with one viewer tweeting: "Hilarious. Never boring when Alison and Josie are on. We need to see more of them and Dermot and Rylan."
Another chimed in: "Love Alison Dermot Josie and Rylan. Makes me want to watch again." A third fan commented: "Why can't we always have Alison and Josie presenting. They're the best and a great laugh."
Alison clarified Dermot's absence, noting: "Dermot's on holiday this week. He deserves the break! But you [Josie] are my Louise to my Thelma, my partner in crime. Josie Gibson!"
