Former Emmerdale actress Hayley Tammadon has been hospitalised in a harrowing health scare. Hayley, known for her role as Del Dingle, turned to social media on Wednesday night to share her distressing experience.

After enduring intense pain, she found herself in the emergency room, hooked up to a drip.

The star, 47, recounted waking with such excruciating pain that she felt her "head was gonna explode," followed by bouts of vomiting.

Upon reaching the hospital, Tammadon was immediately put on a drip to administer medication intravenously, yet this did little to alleviate her agony. Describing her ongoing suffering, she revealed that her "head and neck pain was still horrendous" even after receiving medical attention.

In a candid post to her 98,300 followers, Hayley detailed her struggle with an undiagnosed condition while trying to prepare for work, reports the Mirror.

Her post read: "Today. Woke up. Thought my head was gonna explode. Puked up twice. Took Jasper to nursery. Got ready for a photo shoot. Got there and realised I really should see a doctor. Ended up in hospital. On a drip for medication. It didn't work."

She continued: "Head and neck pain still horrendous. Had a scan. Got told I have arthritis."

Returning home, the single mum managed to care for her son Jasper, make dinner, and put him to bed before succumbing to tears and preparing for another hospital visit the following day.

While the specific type or severity of arthritis afflicting Hayley remains unclear, it is known that the condition can cause significant pain and joint inflammation.

It is estimated that millions of people across the UK, including children, suffer from a condition that causes symptoms such as joint pain, tenderness and stiffness, inflammation in and around the joints, restricted movement, warm red skin over the joint and weakness and muscle wasting.

The two most common forms of this condition are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

In other news, Hayley, who also starred in Coronation Street, recently had to rush her son Jasper to the hospital after he "couldn't stop being sick". She shared with her followers that he was undergoing "lots of tests" as doctors tried to determine the cause of his illness.

Following his hospital visit, Jasper was admitted to a ward and put on an IV drip. Meanwhile, Hayley herself received another frightening diagnosis in 2022 when she was diagnosed with viral meningitis.
