ITV This Morning's Ben Shephard in sweet birthday tribute to namesake godson

As well as being a father of three boys This Morning's Ben Shephard has several godchildren.

This Morning presenter Ben Shephard has taken to social media to acknowledge one of his godchildren's landmark birthdays. Posting to his 580,000 Instagram followers he uploaded a collage with three pictures.

The images showed his godson as a child, as he is now and in a selfie with Ben. Alongside the image he wrote: "Very happy 16th to my godson Ben! @ben_c0wn you’ve hardly changed and still cute and cuddly as ever #happybirthday #sweetsixteen #godson."

Fans were thrilled by the touching tribute and took to the comments to give the teenager some birthday love.

@pauline1945202 cheered: "Happy 16th Birthday young Ben. I hope you've had an Amazing Day xx."

@angie.strong.520 wrote: "Happy birthday young Ben have a great and awesome time tonight. Xx."

@platimer_1956 simply said: "Happy 16th birthday young man have a great day xx."

Ben has previously opened up about being a godfather and how much it means to him.

In 2018 he gushed about spending time with them in a Facebook post.

He posted three black and white pictures of the youngsters which including birthday boy Ben who would have been about ten at the time.

"Spent the last couple of days with this gorgeous lot- 3 of my god kids, @ella_williamsxox @bencowan_official and his big bro Fin - don’t know about you but i love being a god parent, and I’m so proud of them all (as well as Molly and little Seb too who arent pictured here) (sic).

"And the brill bit is of course, this lot don’t wake me up, don’t eat me out of house and home, and I can hand them back at the end of the day #godparents #godfather #godkids #godchildren," he wrote.
