Laura Tobin has insisted she “loves” working on Good Morning Britain and presenting the weather for ITV, hinting she has no plans to leave the broadcaster just yet. In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Laura addressed the recent line-up changes at GMB, which saw regular host Ben Shephard move to This Morning earlier this year.

The TV presenter gushed: “I literally have the best job in the world. Charlotte [Hawkins] and Adil [Ray] just came over. And yeah, we just have a laugh every single day.”

Laura went on to admit she hasn’t had to come to terms with Ben’s absence, as they all still work in the same building and see each other frequently. She continued: “And we're always seeing Ben walking down the corridor - so it’s like he’s not even gone - we see him all the time!”

The host explained that despite big stars like Ben and Piers Morgan leaving over the past few years, every member of the presenting team brings their own unique areas of expertise to the show.

She divulged: “I mean, I feel we have like a big cast of presenters and everyone just brings something different when they present. For me, I love having Richard Madeley, because he's a big space geek.

“There was a big comet going through the sky, and he was like, ‘Laura, Laura, Laura!’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I've got my fellow science geek!’

“But, obviously, Martin Lewis - he loves a graph - he’s the only person who brings a graph to the show, other than me. Everyone brings something different.”

Addressing her own future on ITV and GMB, Laura revealed: “I love it! I mean, I get to tell people the weather every day, and then I have like a little segment every day where I can talk about something else.

“Whether it's like a climate report, whether it's the Northern Lights, whether it's extreme rainfall around the world - for me, weather forecasting is my first love - it’s my bread and butter, it’s what I do.

“If I can, like, jot in all of these extra bits, you know, sprinkles of science while people are having their breakfast that make it interesting - it’s a dream scenario.”

Laura is also hoping to branch out into more shows dedicated to educating viewers on the impacts of climate change, which is a big passion of hers.

She admitted: “I'd love to do more shows talking about climate change. I’ve done some stuff with the Tonight Team looking at the multi-benefits if you want to change your diet - one thing people can do to reduce the impact of climate change is reducing food waste.

“We buy food, and then we throw it away - and then that causes emissions - and that causes temperature to rise.

“So if we planned our meals, and if we freeze everything that we didn't use, and throw our scraps into the compost - that will save the planet, save us money - it’s a win-win!”

Laura Tobin has teamed up with Flood Re to launch the Flood Resilient Garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The garden has been carefully designed to show people how to make their gardens both beautiful and resilient to the effects of flooding.
