Power's Michael Rainey Jr. breaks silence after being sexually assaulted on camera

Michael Rainey Jr. has admitted he's "still in shock" after being groped on a Twitch Livestream as he speaks out on his sexual assault ordeal.

Michael Rainey Jr. has shared a candid message with fans after being sexually assaulted on a livestream.

On Sunday the 23-year-old Power Book: Ghost II star featured on Ty Ty James' Twitch Livestream, where Ty Ty's sister, Jahgee, inappropriately grabbed him.

In the clip, Ty Ty's sister's hands are blocked by three children standing in front of her, but Michael looks visibly uncomfortable as she reaches down, and he attempts to block her hand.

Ty Ty, a streamer famous on Twitch who hosts his own channel, Tylilshow, eventually kicked his sister out of the room after she made a suggestive comment about a banana.

Clips of the incident have since been circulating on social media with many fans rallying around the star.

And now, Michael has taken to his Instagram Story to address the incident with a lengthy statement as he admitted he is "still in shock".

The Netflix star began: "At this point, everyone has seen the video circulating online. I am still in shock and don't fully know how to process what happened last night.

"This is an unfortunate situation that I do not condone in any way. I can't take it lightly because I know I would be in serious trouble if the roles were reversed.

"The fact is, sexual assault is never okay, regardless of gender or status. We're all human, and we should respect each other. Most importantly, we should always respect ourselves," the message concluded.

The 23-year-old also shared a statement with People, where he said: "Sexual harassment and assault are serious and unacceptable acts. Taking advantage of someone's celebrity in this manner devalues entertainers and underscores the need to respect their humanity.

"Those who entertain us are human beings just like everyone else."

TyTy has also released a statement via his Instagram, in which he apologized to the young actor for his sister's actions.

"After the actions that occurred during my stream last night I would like to sincerely apologize to Michael and his family for what took place," he penned, adding: "My little sister was completely wrong and out of line. What she did was very inappropriate and unacceptable.'

"I am truly embarrassed and disgusted by her actions. I completely respect whatever direction Michael wants to go in this situation," he continued.

"After watching the clip, I was completely taken back by what she done. I will take extreme precautions with future streams to avoid similar issues and have banned her from participating in future streams."

He finished his statement by writing "I do not condone any type of of assault."
