The final tweet of Dr Michael Mosley, who has been reported missing after embarking on a coastal walk during his Greek island holiday, has been revealed. The 67 year old health expert, best known for his stints on This Morninga and the The One Show, is feared to have suffered a fall while hiking along St Nicholas Beach on Symi around 1.30pm on Wednesday.

His wife raised the alarm when he failed to return from a walk after leaving his phone at home, and Senior Greek police spokesman Constantina Dimoglidou confirmed searches started the morning of June 6.

Before the distressing event, Dr Mosley's last tweet from two weeks prior saw him humorously engaging with fans about his impersonation on television, remarking: "I have.. I'm not convinced I really sound like that but my wife Clare says it is spot on."

He also interacted with a follower who had shared their positive experience with cold showers after listening to one of his episodes, to which Dr Mosley replied: "Delighted to hear it.. while reading your tweet (or is it your X) I had a bad moment when I thought you were going to say you got a rotator cuff injury after falling in the shower.."

That came in response to a fan who asked: "Hi Michael hope you read this. Thank you so much. I decided to take cold showers after listening to your episode about the benefits of it. Now I've had a rotator cuff injury for a while and had to take at least 2 ibuprofen daily. A week after the cold showers, I haven't had to."

Dr Mosley vanished this week while vacationing, prompting an extensive search operation as his wife raised the alarm . He and his wife Clare recently concluded a national tour titled Eat (Better), Sleep (well), Live (longer).

Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into his disappearance, with police focusing on land-based searches and the coast guard providing support. The BBC presenter, famed for hosting Radio 4's Just One Thing, was last seen on the island of Symi, where he was participating in a promotional tour with his spouse, reports Birmingham Live.

In addition to his ITV, Channel 4 and BBC programmes, Dr Mosley has also penned a book titled 'Fast Asleep' on using diet to enhance sleep quality, following his own battle with chronic insomnia.
