Hollywood star Will Smith's wife Jada Pinkett Smith revealed the pair have secretly been separated since 2016 last year, but they made time to celebrate the release of Will's new movie this week.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith stepped out in style together on Thursday night for the premiere of his new movie, Bad Boys: Ride or Die.

It was their first joint public outing since Jada dropped the bombshell announcement that they’ve secretly been separated for seven years last October.

They were flanked by their kids Willow, 23, and Jaden, 25, as well as Will’s older son Trey, 31, from his first marriage to Sheree Zampino at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles.

Will, 55, was joined by his long-running co-star Martin Lawrence, 59, both wearing sharp suits for the exciting occasion.

However, it was his estranged wife Jada whom Will still called his “ride-or-die” in a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight.

The I Am Legend star’s ensemble was cool and casual, accessorising with a black beanie, chain necklace and a baggy black t-shirt.

Meanwhile, Jada commanded attention in a striking sheer gown and cape, which cascaded to the floor in complex waves and caught the eye with a unique black pattern.

Despite their long-term separation, Jada revealed the Hollywood couple currently has no plans to officially divorce.

Writing in her memoir, Worthy, she said of the split: “It was not a divorce on paper. But it was a divorce.”

And speaking on the Today Show back in October, Jada explained: “I think we were both still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be.

“We've been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like.”

Will and Jada were also joined by stars Tiffany Haddish, Toni Braxton, Better Call Saul’s Rhea Seehorn and Dania Ramirez.

Plus, their son Jaden stepped out with his girlfriend of four years Sab Zada.

Sab flaunted her cleavage in a black bustier, while Jaden opted for an unconventional look including a puffy black vest over a white shirt and tie, keeping a strand of his dreadlocks tucked behind black shades.

The fourth instalment in the Bad Boys franchise is out from June 5th in the UK.

A synopsis reads: “When their former captain is implicated in corruption, two Miami police officers have to work to clear his name.”
