Alex Scott sparks frenzy with 'wedding snap' after Jess Glynn calls BBC host her 'wife'
Alex Scott and Jess Glynne made their red carpet debut earlier this week at Cannes Gala 2024.
BBC sports presenter Alex Scott gushed proudly over her famous other half - Jess Glynne. The football pundit and her popstar girlfriend caused a stir on social media as Jess referred to Alex as her "wife".
Sharing pictures from a night at the amfAR Cannes Gala on Thursday evening in the French Riviera, the pair looked smitten as they held hands and gazed lovingly into one another's eyes.
Alex, 39, looked stunning in a rose-gold see-through gown with embellishments all over. Meanwhile, singer Jess, 34, wowed in an off-shoulder white dress with a rope detailing to synch her waist.
Captioning a selection of pictures from the event on Instagram, Alex wrote: "A special evening with @amfar. Proud moment watching you perform @jessglynne. Thank you @zuhairmuradofficial for dressing me… Canne we do it all again."
Jess cheekily commented on the post, as she said: "My wife everybody [kissing face emoji] x". It seems she was referring to their choices of clothing, with the dresses they had on looking like they could be made for a matrimonial ceremony.

Alex replied: "…thank you for coming everyone, honeymoon time??" Fans begged the couple to make it a reality. One Instagram user said: "Please make it happen, you girls belong together (such couple goals for sure). I love your bond between one another."
Another wrote: "PLEASE say this is happening? Who's asking who?" Meanwhile, a third added: "Please make it happen, you girls belong together."
The couple reportedly began dating last Summer, with the pair being spotted at various events together including the BRIT Awards 2023. However, until this week the women have always been pictured separately.
Alex confirmed their relationship earlier this year as she received a video call from Jess while taking part in a Comic Relief challenge.

In December 2023, they attended the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Awards, again not posing together, though they took a sweet selfie. Three days later, Alex used this shot and more to go Instagram official with Jess, posting her on her Instagram grid for the first time.
Speaking about their relationship, a source previously told the press: "Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon. But they’re officially an item now and seem really happy.
"They are both strong, independent women with a shared passion and respect of their respective careers, supporting one another from the sidelines."
