Eamonn Holmes has joked that wife Ruth Langsford wouldn't be happy that he was enjoying his life if she were the first to pass away.
The 63-year-old appeared on the Let's Start Talking with Coleen Nolan podcast and opened up about what life would be like if Ruth, 63, was to die before him.
Speaking to host Coleen, 58, the former This Morning host said: "She'd be very jealous.
"She would hate to think, well if she died first, that I'd be having any joy at all in my life. If she goes, that's the end of all joy. That's it."
"Aww, that's sweet," Coleen gushed in response to Eamonn's comment.

It comes after Ruth opened up about having to compromise with Eamonn about where they should retire when the time comes.
While appearing on the How To Be 60 with Kaye Adams and Karen McKenzie podcast, the Loose Women star said she would be open to the idea of moving to Eamonn's native Northern Ireland.
She explained: "The thing is, I've always known he wants to be in Northern Ireland and I think we'll have to find a compromise."
The ITV star went on to say that it's a different feeling for Eamonn as he has his brothers, two of his children and his granddaughter back in Northern Ireland but all of her family are close by.

Ruth also said she needs to prioritise her elderly mother Joan, 90, but knows Eamonn wants to eventually go back to Belfast.
She continued: "When you get older, you have to think about your parents as well while they're still alive, but I know that's where he wants to be eventually cos he's a Belfast boy."
Ruth admitted that the pair will end up having to get a smaller house in London and a home in Belfast too as a compromise to her husband.
