Stacey Solomon admits 'mum guilt' is causing her stress after 'not being around enough'

Loose Women's Stacey Solomon had admitted she's feeling some "mum guilt" as it comes to the end of the school year amid worries she "hasn't been around enough".

was feeling emotional last night as she opened up about her “mum guilt”.

The 33-year-old star, who hosts ’s Sort Your Life Out, shared the news that her four-year-old son Rex has graduated from pre-school, lamenting how the time had “flown by”.

The panellist also expressed her worries that she hasn’t “been around enough” during the school term, despite being a mum who seems to constantly dote upon her children.

In view of her 5.7 million followers, Stacey shared a picture of Rex graduating in a little blue cap and gown with the caption: “Class of 2023.”

The winner wrote: “Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet. Rexy graduated preschool today and so it’s been an emotional one.

“Leighton finishe(s) primary tomorrow and my heart is bursting,” she added.

The former finalist shares Rex, one-year-old Rose and newborn Belle with her husband, Joe Swash.

She is also mum to Leighton, 11, and Zach, 15, from previous relationships, while Joe also has a 16-year-old son called Harry.

In a video addressed to fans, Stacey could be seen lying on the grass, as the caption read: “Went for a run to try and run off my mum guilt… [laughing emoji]”.

“Good evening, I’m just laying on the floor in my garden because I went for a run, which I never do,” the star told her followers.

At that point, Stacey’s excitable pup Teddy came into view to sniff at her face, as the star exclaimed: “Teddy, I’m all sweaty!”

“I never run. I really don’t love running,” she confessed. “I want to learn to love it but I don’t love it at the moment.

“And tonight I just felt like I need to do something, so I just thought, ‘Sod it, I’m going to go for a run’.

“Now I’m too sweaty to worry about anything, so it worked. I’m just so hot. And you know what? I thought I’d just lay out in the garden for a minute because it’s so hot.

Stacey then went on to share what has been weighing on her mind, explaining: “It’s just coming to the end of this week and the end of this school year and I feel like it’s flown by and I’ve missed it.

“So I felt a bit stressed this evening. I felt a bit of mum guilt, like I haven’t been around enough for this school year. And it’s important…

“Anyway, I’m not going to go down that road,”she decided. “I’ve run it off, and I just wanted to come on while I’m out here and say hi. I hope you’re all having a lovely evening.”

A final post on Stacey’s story showed a black and white baby photo of Rex with the caption: “Me and Joe are spending the night looking through Rex’s leaving folder.

“Don’t know why we’re doing it to ourselves. This pic seems like yesterday,” she added with a crying emoji. “He looks like Rose here.”
