Noel Gallagher hits out at 'virtue signalling' stars for jab promotion - but still got his
NOEL GALLAGHER has hit out at "virtue signalling" celebrities who have encouraged their online following to receive the coronavirus vaccine, despite him having had the jab himself.

Noel Gallagher, 54, has said it is a “human right” to decline the coronavirus vaccine, as he initially did not want the jab for fear of “hair loss”. The Oasis singer accused celebrities of “virtue signalling” by urging people to have the vaccine in a bid to end the pandemic, despite him revealing that he had, in fact, received his first jab after much consideration.
They can eff off
Speaking on his thoughts towards being vaccinated against coronavirus, Noel said: “I will say it’s a human right to decline it. And the people who are virtue signalling, [with] their lofty wagging their finger at people who are declining it, can eff off.
“That’s how fascism starts. When I sit at home and in between the football there’s [public information films with] Lenny Henry [saying] ‘Take the jab’, looking like an abandoned dog, I’m like, ‘Mate, you take the jab, it’s up to you’.”
Noel added that he is not “afraid” of getting the virus, after once having “food poisoning” in Mexico.
However, despite his fierce protests, the rock and roll star has actually had the jab, after initially turning it down.

It was his doctor who talked him round, as Noel recalled: “He said, ‘Why would you not take it? What are you frightened of?’ And I said, ‘Being honest, hair loss’.”
“And he said: ‘Hmm, I can see that. But there is no evidence to suggest there will be any hair loss’.
"‘So you’re saying I should take it?’ And he said, ‘No, I’m saying, if you don’t take it, you’re a fool’,” he added to this week's Radio Times.
Before receiving his jab at a Holiday Inn in Winchester, the star asked what the side effects would be.
Doctors reassured Noel by explaining it would be no worse than the “hangovers” he experienced in the 90s while performing with his former band Oasis.
Previously the star has refused to wear a mask during the coronavirus pandemic, complaining that it is a violation of his liberty.
Speaking on the Matt Morgan podcast, the guitarist said: “It’s not a law. There are too many f**king liberties being taken away from us now.
“I choose not to wear one. If I get the virus it’s on me, it’s not on anyone else... it’s a p**s-take. There’s no need for it… They’re pointless.”

Noel has said he had resisted calls to wear a mask on a train and in shops.
He shared: “I was going up to Manchester the other week and some guy’s going, ‘Can you put your mask on because the transport police will get on and fine you a thousand pounds. But you don’t have to put it on if you’re eating’
“So I was saying, ‘Oh right, this killer virus that’s sweeping through the train is gonna come and attack me, but see me having a sandwich and go, leave him, he’s having his lunch?’”
The star also referred to Piers Morgan who has argued in favour of mask-wearing in the past.
He continued: “Why do you have to wear one when you’re having a f***king haircut, but you don’t have to wear one in the pub?”
Various studies have found mask-wearing to be effective in reducing the risk of catching Covid-19, including ones by Duke University in the US, and Oxford University.
Noel is not the only Mancunian indie star to have voiced doubt over the coronavirus outbreak.
Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown has also tweeted: “No lockdown no tests no tracks no masks no vax.”
