Baroness Michelle Mone, 48, who is due to tie the knot with her beau Doug Barrowman,54, later this year opened up about her struggles to lose weight. The businesswoman and entrepreneur revealed she had "been so down and depressed" in previous years.
Michelle credits former model and Rod Stewart's ex-wife Rachel Hunter for helping her decide to make a lifestyle change.
The model who fronted the Ultimo brand advised the business woman to "treat her body as a business".
Speaking about the moment in 2006, Michelle recalled: "I was on the beach in Miami with our supermodels. I was so down and so depressed.
She continued: "Rachel Hunter said to me, 'Why don't you treat your body like a business?'

"So I think that was the first part of the journey for me."
Rachel, who was previously married to Rod for 16 years, encouraged the mum-of-three to make a change.
Michelle, who sold her underwear brand Ultimo five years ago, treats her body with the same discipline she uses in business.
She recently shed an incredible 8st and shrunk down from a size 18 to a size 10.
However, Michelle admitted it has not been an easy road losing the weight.
Her split from husband and business partner Michael Mone in 2012 sent her spiralling into comfort eating and depression.
Michelle explained: "I was depressed. My weight was up and down due to my divorce.
"And then, the business, it gives you stress every day."
The Scottish-born entrepreneur admitted she "fell off the wagon" over the years and "would just binge".
“I was eating anything I could get my hands on — junk, processed foods," Michelle remarked.
"I turned to alcohol and put on even more weight, so I’d feel even more depressed."
She added: "It was a vicious circle. I would sit on my own and eat when I wasn’t hungry, it was horrific."
In the past 11 months, Michelle revealed she has "upped her game" ahead of her impending nuptials with entrepreneur Doug.
Michelle said: "Since lockdown, myself and Doug always spend so many hours travelling.
"And we thought now what we will do, we're not going to be chained to a desk all the time. We'll do powerful work."
The couple begin their fitness regime working out in their indoor gym, followed by an afternoon bootcamp class and finish with an evening walk.
She finished: "In the last 11 months, I've really upped my game. So from my food intake, to what's right for my body and what's not. My training regime as well."
