Jamie Oliver says he will learn from restaurant closures

It’s sad – especially when it’s a chef that the nation loved and adored
The 53-year-old has now discussed how the pair "spoke" in light of the "sad" news about Jamie's, 44, restaurant chain.
Speaking in the latest issue of the Radio Times, Gordon branded his rival "a nice guy" and discussed the "tough" situation he found himself in.

“It’s a tough time at the moment,” Gordon commented, speaking prior to the coronavirus outbreak.
He continued: “Customers vote with their feet, like viewers vote with their remote control.
"The good will last. Customers are savvy and that’s good news for us as it’s making the industry sharper and improving the nation."
Gordon then said: "It’s been a testing time – very testing – but I’m pleased it’s flushed out the c**p.”
When talk turned to if he'd spoken to Jamie about Jamie’s Italian going into administration, he confirmed he had.
The pair fell out over comments Jamie made about the outspoken star's family, not long after they lost a baby at five months through miscarriage.
The former had said on The Nightly Show: "I was doing TV years before him, so maybe five years ago it would have bothered me and I may have responded.
"But he’s got four kids and I’ve got five kids and I don’t want to be s***ging off some kids’ dad on telly. It’s not nice."

Gordon later said he wouldn’t speak to Jamie again unless he apologised, and that his wife had been "mortified", according to The Sun.
However he has now set the record straight. “Listen, we spoke,” Gordon stated. “We had a barbecue together.
"It’s sad – especially when it’s a chef that the nation loved and adored. He’s such a nice guy; he came out and was brutally honest about it."
He added: "The economy dictated that failure and the message is that you need to keep an eye on your business. It’s tough. It’s never easy seeing anyone fail.”
Meanwhile, it comes as Gordon, Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix gear up for the release of season two of their show.
This time the trio will drive through Mexico, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Texas.
It comes after the runaway success of their European adventure.
