Paul Sinha speaks out on big The Chase defeat revealing it was days after Parkinson’s news
PAUL SINHA - best known as The Chase star The Sinnerman - took to Twitter after a crushing £80,000 defeat on the ITV quiz show last night, explaining it in relation to his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.
The Chase: Contestants beat Paul Sinha to win £80,000
Paul Sinha took to Twitter after seemingly being trolled about his £80,000 loss on ITV’s The Chase. The Sinnerman star was seen making a number of slip-ups while taking on the remaining two contestants in the final round.
Worth remembering that Chasers and contestants are real people
However, the 49-year-old hit out in view of his 137,000 followers, after speaking to co-star Mark Labbett.
He told people to remember that he is a “real” person, despite his tough persona on the programme.
Paul revealed how that particular episode was filmed just “three days” after he revealed he had Parkinson’s disease via his blog.
The star tweeted: “The King of Stats, aka The Beast tells me today's episode was recorded three days after this blog.

“Worth remembering that Chasers and contestants are real people with real stuff going on.”
Paul wrote his candid message in reply to his original tweet and link to his candid blog about his health.
He had stated back in June: “I have Parkinson's disease. I will fight this with every breath I have.”
Parkinson’s is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system, which usually begins with shaking and difficulties walking.
Paul also entered into a discussion with a number of fans on the micro-blogging site, saying the defeat didn’t “surprise” him.
One user had posted: “I thought that - and they could have been a bit quicker too. But enough questions fell their way, and that’s what counts.”
The star replied: “Watching back, there wasn't a single wrong answer that surprised me. That common sense ‘knuckles’ stuff very much my achilles heel.”
Contestants Jonny and Lyndsey pocketed £40,000 each after the final chase, but some claimed the comedian had “let” them win.

Two tweets read: “Paul Sinner let them win #TheChase,” and: “Really enjoy #TheChase on #ITV, but it's so obvious that some of the episodes are thrown.
“Tonight's was a throw, how can Sinnerman, a DOCTOR, not know the answer of ‘knuckles’?!! Bradley was reading the questions really slowly & Sinnerman had long pauses before answering.”(sic)
A third posted: “Just caught up on today's #TheChase £80k!! Serious money! Gotta say, @paulsinha off form today completely… deffo caught him on an off day.”(sic)
Meanwhile, Paul also cleared up a question from a fan in relation to another TV commitment.
The Red Comedy account had informed: “If you missed it the first time, Paul Sinha's valiant efforts on Taskmaster are back on Dave at 10pm nightly. He's performing @engineshed Lincoln on 26 Jan and touring the UK in 2020. @paulsinha @unilincoln @LincolnshireCC @BBCRadioLincs @taskmaster.”
“Valiant,” Paul had quipped, as someone questioned: “I'm just watching this for the first time. Do you mind me asking when the tasks happened in relation to your diagnosis?”
The former added: “The tasks were completed by Januray 2019. I was diagnosed in June.”(sic)
The Chase continues tonight at 5pm on ITV.
