Love Island announce contestants for 2020 Winter series
The first ever series of winter Love Island kicks off this weekend and the new cast has today been revealed.
Pictures of the 12 sexy singletons, who are heading to South Africa in search of love on the ITV2 reality show, have also been released.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the new faces, with one user saying that you had to be a “lookalike of a previous contestant” to appear on the show.
The 2020 line-up features a host of good-looking characters including Lewis Capaldi's ex and Rochelle Humes' lookalike sister.
A pair of twins will also jet to the South African villa.
Other contestants include the heir to a Cornish stately home, a former Britain’s Got Talent contestant and police officer.
Following the release of the first pictures of the new contestants, fans took to social media to express their disappointment with the line-up.
One Twitter user wrote: “Once again, they’ve cast a bunch of btec versions of previous islanders.”
The user continued: ”Good to see that Michael, Yewande, Sherif, Belle, George and Dennon and a Callum/Greg lookalike has re entered the villa as well as some twins like in season 1 (!!!never seen that one before) #LoveIsland.”
Sharing a similar view, another user asked: “Mate. Is there a factory somewhere where they clone new contestants or…#LoveIsland.”
A third Twitter users followed suit, remarking: “Unpopular opinion but unless you’re the sibling, neighbour or postman of some form of celeb, a lookalike of a previous contestant or haven’t already got an agent then you don’t stand a chance on #LoveIsland @loveIsland [thumbs down emoji].”
The 12 contestants on the first ever winter series are; twins Eve and Jess Gale, 20, Rochelle Humes' sister Sophie Piper, 21, and Lewis Capaldi’s ex Paige Turley, 22.
They join Ollie Williams, 23, heir to the Lanhydrock Estate in Cornwall, police officer Mike Boateng, 24, and former naked butler Connor Durman, 25.
As well as beauty consultant Siannise Fudge, 25, democratic services officer Shaughna Phillips, 25, customer service advisor Leanne Amaning, 22, plus Manchester scaffolder Callum Jones, 23, and builder Nas Majeed, 23.
