Sunday Brunch: Tim Lovejoy blasts guests ‘stop looking at me!’
Earlier this week, Sunday Brunch host Tim Lovejoy, 51, took a break from his Dear Lovejoy podcast and answered a series of questions in a Q&A session on Twitter. In view of his 657,000 followers, he wrote: “I have half an hour. Anyone need any life or love advice? Disclaimer: I'm a TV presenter, not a dr or a therapist. #DearLovejoyPodcast.” The host was swiftly flooded with a series of questions, with one asking him which fast food chain he should choose for lunch.
I’m bringing love and joy to the digestive system
The Twitter user wrote: “Lunch McDonald’s or KFC?”
Tim replied: “Neither. Make your own healthful lunch.”
The host’s response didn’t impress another Twitter user, who told him he had put a “dampener” on things.
They wrote: “For someone with love and joy in their name, you really do know how to put a dampener on things.”
Tim replied: “Poor diet makes your tastebuds happy, but the rest of your body is crying.
“I’m bringing love and joy to the digestive system [wink face emoji].”
One other social media user took the opportunity to ask him for dating advice.
They simply wrote: “Dating tips?”
Tim replied: “Be nice, be honest and smile [followed by a love heart emoji]”.
Another Twitter user asked: “How can I encourage my friend Jake to find love and joy in his life?”
The presenter replied: “You can’t. He’s the only one who can choose that option. Just be there and be kind.”
Despite dishing out dating tips, Tim is believed to be single following his split from netball player Tamsin Greenway in 2016.
The couple were in a relationship for four years and share a daughter together.
Tim has also has two twin girls with his ex-wife Jade Lovejoy, who he marred in 2002.
Back in 2013, he spoke out about life after his divorce, telling The Mirror: “I’ve got a great relationship with my kids and I have 50/50 access.
“My ex-wife and I have a shared parenting agreement. I don’t have any problem with that.”
Sunday Brunch airs weekdays on Channel 4 from 9.30am.
