Piers Morgan has graciously accepted a fan's apology after the person publicly said sorry for once referring to him as a “c***”. The Good Morning Britain presenter received a message from a gentleman on Twitter following his appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight. In the post, the individual said he was “totally wrong” about the 53-year-old journalist. It read: “Piers, I was totally wrong about you. For years I've thought you were a ‘c***’.
“It turns out your views and opinions are totally correct and pretty much my own views.”
Finishing the statement, the person concluded: “I apologise and look forward to your future tweets.”
Sharing the tweet with his 6.5 million Twitter followers, the TV star replied: “Apology accepted!”
Piers is currently in the United States after covering this year’s Oscars for Good Morning Britain with his co-host Susanna Reid.
On the night, he took to social media to criticise some celebrities’ choice of clothing.
He questioned Bill Porter’s tuxedo dress and compared Linda Cardellini’s gown to a bird.
On Twitter, Piers shared a picture of Billy’s ensemble, telling his followers: “Am I allowed to say this looks absolutely ridiculous?”
Billy, 49, took to the red carpet in black floor-length gown, with a billowing skirt and long train.
The American stage performer’s flamboyant ensemble also had a svelte bodice and frilled sleeves.
He completed the look with a large bow tie and velvet collar on the blazer, as well as lining under the corset.
Meanwhile, Linda wore a frilled gown, which gaped open in the centre to reveal her long, lean pins.
The actress’ neon pink frock also had a plunging neckline and a ribbon belt was tied around her waist.
She finished off the look with a pair of black pumps and wore her brunette locks in a chic updo'.
Piers slated her outfit choice on Twitter, cheekily comparing the get-up to a bird.
Alongside a picture of the Hollywood actress, he simply wrote: “Bird apocalypse. #Oscars.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
