Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Kevin Clifton recalls ‘embarrassing moment’ with Susanna Reid
STRICTLY COME DANCING 2018 professional dancer Kevin Clifton recalled an “embarrassing moment” which occurred during his dance on the show with Susanna Reid back in 2013.
It Takes Two: Kevin Clifton's most embarrassing Strictly moment
The professional dancer was on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two tonight where he appeared in a segment called ‘Ask The Pros’.
Zoe Ball revealed one viewer sent in a question which asked: “What’s the most embarrassing thing, to have happened to you on the dance floor? Question to number three please?”
“First series, dancing with Susanna Reid, we’re doing Argentine Tango, Smooth Criminal,” Kevin began explaining.
“And I wanted to do the Smooth Criminal lean forward, that Michael Jackson does.
I had to stand on one leg
“And, erm, so we got the thing out to do the - I didn’t get my thing out! That would’ve been embarrassing!” he clarified.
Laughing at Kevin’s innuendo, Zoe quipped: “That would’ve been a good story!”
Kevin then demonstrated the embarrassing moment to the audience.
“We got the thing on the floor that helps you do the lean forward, but I couldn’t get clipped in on the live shows,” he said.
“So I had to stand on one leg and go like that,”
Viewers then saw Kevin lean forward and lift one of his legs up which looked nothing like the King of Pop’s famous move.
Zoe replied: ”Ah that is very embarrassing!”
Kevin and Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid reached the final of Strictly Come Dancing where they came runners-up after losing out to Abbey Clancy and Aljaž Škorjanec.
Elsewhere, Kevin also appeared on It Takes Two with his current celebrity partner Stacey Dooley to discuss their upcoming routine.
The two will be performing a Tango to the Doctor Who theme song on Saturday night with Stacey, 31, playing the part of the Time Lord.
The pair have been a hit with the judges and viewers so far and it seems Kevin is also completely blown away by Stacey.
On the BBC Two show, the Grimsby born star said to his celebrity partner: “I really couldn’t ask for a better partner.
“You’re like, you’re brilliant, I just love working with you."
He added: “This isn’t work for me, this is just fun.”
Stacey blushed as she replied: “Aww, Kev!”
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 6.50pm.
