Stars of Dad's Army and Carry On films in memory lane cruises
CRUISE & Maritime Voyages has announced five stars of yesteryear cruises for 2017 including Dad's Army shows, Carry On films and children's TV
Frank Williams will be one of the celebrity guests on the CMV cruise
Dad's Army vicar Frank Williams will be onboard Marco Polo to entertain passengers with his anecdotes about filming the late-1960s to late-1970s BBC comedy series, during a cruise from Bristol Avonmouth to the Azores and Madeira in April.
He'll be joined for the 15-night return trip by magician and comedian John Archer, a member of The Magic Circle.
Then in May there's a perfect three-night getaway for fans of 1960s music with Merseybeat legends The Swinging Blue Jeans.
Anita Harris from Carry On will join the cruise down the River Seine
The Dreamers and Beatles tribute band The Cheatles will also be onboard Magellan for the round-trip from London Tilbury calling at Amsterdam and Antwerp.
Carry On stars Anita Harris, Valerie Leon and Jacki Piper will be reminiscing as Magellan carries on up the River Seine to Rouen and Le Havre in France after calling at Antwerp in Belgium.
The Medieval Cities & River Seine Experience leaves London Tilbury in May for five nights, with a coach transfer from Newport in Wales available.
The cruise finishes at Newport and there's a coach transfer back to Tilbury.
The CMV cruises are centred around various themes with the appropriate entertainment
Antiques experts Henry Sandon and Caroline Hawley, who have appeared on the Antiques Road Show, Flog It and Bargain Hunt, will be on CMV's new fleet addition Columbus in August, and passengers will be able to get valuations from photographs of their most cherished possessions.
The seven-night Scottish Islands & Faroes cruise from London Tilbury calls at Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands, Torshavn on the Faroe Islands and Lerwick on the Shetland Islands as well as Invergordon for excursions to Loch Ness and the Scottish
Highlands before returning to Tilbury.

CMV's medieval tour will visit some of Europe's oldest medieval cities
The fifth themed cruise features children's TV legends Peter Purves from Blue Peter, Mick Robertson of Magpie, and Play School's Floella Benjamin.
They will take passengers on Columbus down memory lane as the ship sails a round-trip from London Tilbury to the Canary Islands and Madeira in October for 15 nights.
