With over 1,000 miles of coastline and a mountainous interior, it is easy to see why Sardinia, with its dazzling white sands, came as the second-best island in Europe.
Sardinia has a reputation as a paradise island thanks to its home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, famed for their untouched beauty, from hidden coves to sprawling sandy shores.
Sardinia has nine certified villages on “The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy” list, which recognises the best in the country for conservation and artistic heritage.

There is more than meets the eye with this island as Sardinia has incredible hilltop ruins, endless amounts of unspoilt nature and vineyards thick with fruit.
Just behind Sardinia, in third place, is the largest and most magical island in the Mediterranean.
