Counting down to your holiday? Well, new research has found which airports you don't want to be stuck in if your flight gets delayed.
Do you ever add a countdown on your phone to your next holiday? Well, if you're like us, the thought of relaxing by a beach whilst sipping a cocktail is something you cannot wait to do.
All packed and ready to go with your suitcase, you then travel to the airport where it will only be hours before you land on foreign soil and you can fully get into holiday mode.
However, we’ve all had the dreaded ‘delayed’ sign next to our flight and had to entertain ourselves in the airport for hours.
And if the thought of being stuck in a hot, crowded airport leaves you filled with dread then you're not alone.
But new research has come to the rescue with SkyCity Online Casino finding out which UK airports are the best places to kill time if you do face unwanted delays.
Data was gathered by looking at the restaurants and bars available per 1,000 daily visitors. This was then compared with the percentage of flights delayed in the last 30 days to create a list of the worst airports to be delayed in.

1. London Heathrow - 0
2. London Gatwick - 2.8
3. London Stansted - 8.1
4. Manchester Airport - 12.1
5. Birmingham Airport - 19.3
6. Leeds Bradford Airport - 33.1
7. London Luton - 33.2
8. Edinburgh Airport - 41.9
9. Newcastle International Airport - 52.2
10. Liverpool John Lennon Airport - 58.7

London airports scored poorly in both areas, meaning that they are the worst airports for sitting down with a pint whilst waiting for a delayed flight.
Overall, the smaller airports are where you are more likely to get a table in a restaurant or bar if your flight is delayed. London Gatwick and Stansted also scored highly with fewer flights affected by delays in the last 30 days.
Cardiff and Leeds Bradford Airport both scored the best in terms of restaurants and bars per 1,000 visitors.
Cardiff airport has 1.74 restaurants and bars per 1,000 daily visitors, with Leeds having 0.73. These are both miles ahead of Heathrow, where you are unlikely to get a table in a restaurant and bar, with only 0.14 per 1,000 daily visitors.
