Europe’s cheapest destinations to fly to in March include a gorgeous walkable city
I searched for the cheapest destinations to fly to in March using Skyscanner. Luckily for Brits, there's some fantastic holidays you can reach for under £50.
As the weather finally starts to cheer up, many Britons are looking forward to getting away from the UK on a mini-break.
But where are the cheapest destinations?
In an exclusive experiment for Express.co.uk, I searched for the cheapest places to fly to from the UK in March using Skyscanner.
Luckily for British tourists, there’s some fantastic options for affordable getaways in March. Keep in mind that these prices are flight only so tourists might have to pay more for baggage or seat selection.
From one of Europe’s most exciting city breaks to one of the continent’s best foodie destinations, there’s plenty to get you feeling inspired.

Tirana, Albania
I found direct return flights to Tirana, the capital city of Albania, for £23 from London, £36 from Manchester and £37 from Edinburgh.
The city was recently recommended by travel expert Simon Calder, who said British tourists will enjoy prices from the 1980s while there.
Tirana’s compact size makes it very walkable while tourists will find plenty of attractions in the Albanian capital. The Albanian coast is also easily reached from the city.

Lyon, France
I found return flights to Lyon in March for £23 from London, £35 from Liverpool, £37 from Manchester and under £50 from Bristol and Birmingham.
The French city is one of the country’s gourmet hotspots, known for its traditional bouchon restaurants.

Bratislava, Slovakia
I found return flights to Bratislava for £24 from London, £35 from Leeds and £37 from Manchester.
The Slovakian capital is a fantastic choice for Britons looking for an affordable getaway this spring. The city is also just a short hop from Vienna on the train.
