WWE Hall of Fame 2019: Ronda Rousey’s husband PUMMELS fan who attacked Bret Hart
RONDA ROUSEY’S husband Travis Browne jumped into the ring and defended Bret "The Hitman" Hart after he was attacked by a fan during his speech at the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Shocking scenes gripped the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as Hart was spun around and slammed into the canvas while making his speech.
Hart was being inducted as part of the Hart Foundation tag team with recently deceased partner Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart.
The disgusting attack - which was not part of the event - was carried out by a fan who was wearing a Rasta hat.
WWE cut away from the speech where Hart stood in the ring alongside Natalya, who is Neidhart's daughter and an active WWE superstar.
I’m so proud of my uncle BretHart tonight during our HOF ceremony
However, footage of following moments have been captured by fans in the audience.
Moments after former champion Hart was attacked, Browne and several current and former WWE superstars along with security flooded the ring to subdue the assailant.
Browne, a former UFC heavyweight, can be seen throwing several punches as Hart and Natalya were moved away from the incident to the edge of the ring.
A law enforcement official told the Associated Press that a 26-year-old man was in custody and facing criminal charges in connection with the incident.
This is probably the best angle of the incident involving a fan (and I use that term loosely) attacking Bret Hart. Disgusting. This guy deserved everything he got in the aftermath. Glad to hear Bret was OK and able to resume his speech. #WWEHOFhttps://t.co/6j1Rf8pkMb pic.twitter.com/pXwDdcIo6s

According to Fox News, the official was not authorised to discuss the case and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Hart, who has survived both a stroke and cancer battle, resumed his speech after the fan was taken into custody.
Natalya took to Twitter in the aftermath to say how proud she is of Hart.
“I’m so proud of my uncle BretHart tonight during our HOF ceremony,” she said.
I’m so proud of my uncle @BretHart tonight during our HOF ceremony. Bret is a cancer survivor, a stroke survivor and one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He didn’t deserve to be attacked or have his moment or my dad’s diminished. We got it back on track. Thank you, guys
