Conor McGregor’s manager discusses return to the UFC
Conor McGregor return statement from manager
Conor McGregor’s manager Audie Attar has claimed there currently isn’t a deal in place for ‘The Notorious’ to return to the Octagon this year.
"Well, we’re going to get back to talking with them (the UFC),” Attar told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani. “We’ve had some communication over the last couple of weeks. I think those will start to pick up now this is behind us.
“I think everybody wants to get back to the good old days if you will. I know Conor has been training, he’s been getting in shape.
“He’s in great shape right now and he’s ready to take this next challenge on. When it happens is yet to be known. I think the negotiations have to continue to play out.
“Once we finish those and get that across the line, we’ll know exactly when that date is going to be and when he’s going to return to the Octagon.”
McGregor, 30, hasn’t set foot inside the Octagon since claiming the lightweight title in the main event of UFC 205, a card where he became the promotion‘s first simultaneous two-weight world champion.
He was relieved of the title in April due to inactivity, which paved the way for Nurmagomedov to claim the belt in the main event of UFC 223 with a unanimous decision victory over Al Iaquinta.

UFC News - Darren Till slams Tyron Woodley fight critics
Darren Till has fired back of critics of his welterweight title fight with Tyron Woodley, who he’ll face in the main event of UFC 228 on September 8.
“If Dana’s offering the title shot, I’m not going to say no, mate,” Till told MMANYTT’s Jim Edwards. “This is what we do. MMA is good, and MMA fans are so amazing.
“But also, they can be toxic at the same time. Not just MMA fans – the fighters and people in general.”
UFC News - Jose Aldo discusses Max Holloway’s UFC 226 withdrawal
Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo is hopeful Max Holloway, his successor at the summit of the division, will fight again.
Holloway was forced to withdraw from his UFC 226 bout with Brian Ortega as he was suffering from ‘concussion-like’ symptoms.
“All I really want is to see him fight again,” Aldo told MMA Fighting ahead of his UFC on Fox 30 bout with Dustin Poirier.
“I’m not going to say that I was happy to lose to him, but he is a guy that is very worth of caring the title.
“He is a good person, he’s a good champion and all I want now is to just see him healthy and competing again.”
