Conor McGregor takes to Instagram ahead of court case which could determine UFC future
CONOR MCGREGOR is seemingly in good spirits ahead of his crucial court case.
Tomorrow afternoon, the UFC's poster boy will appear in court in Brooklyn, New York charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief.
The charges are in relation to the Irishman's antics at the UFC 223 media day, where he and a group of his friends attacked a bus carrying his fellow fighters.
McGregor and one of his accomplices, Cian Cowley, jetted off to New York last night from Dublin airport.
And before doing so, 'The Notorious' posted a picture of himself, Cowley and their sons to his official Instagram page, seemingly making light of the upcoming legal proceedings.
McGregor's latest misdemeanour has the potential to delay his long-awaited return to the Octagon, which he hasn't graced in 19 months.
UFC president Dana White is keen to rendezvous with the former lightweight champion before his court case but doesn't plan on discussing the Dubliner's next fight.
"I’m not expecting to hear anything from him,” White told TSN’s Kara Wagland.

“We haven’t talked since the incident.
“We’re just going to get together in a room and talk. Obviously, that’ll be before his hearing.
“So I don’t think we’re going to talk about - we’re not going to talk business."
This past weekend, White revealed that McGregor's long-awaited comeback fight will see him lock horns with his successor at the summit of the lightweight division, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
When asked what was next for Nurmagomedov during the UFC 225 post-fight press conference, White replied: “Conor.”
McGregor, 29, hasn't set foot inside the Octagon since his historic UFC 205 victory over Eddie Alvarez, a triumph which saw him become the promotion's first simultaneous two-weight world champion.
