UFC News - Jon Jones makes statement on Brock Lesnar fight after Dana White's revelation
JON JONES has addressed the prospect of a super-fight with Brock Lesnar for the first time since calling out the WWE star last August.
After reclaiming the light-heavyweight title at UFC 214 with an emphatic third-round KO victory over his bitter rival Daniel Cormier, Jones called out Lesnar in an unforgettable post-fight interview.
The callout seemingly set the wheels in motion for a multi-million-pound fight between the pair, but they came to a screeching halt a few weeks later when it emerged that Jones had failed his final pre-fight drug test.
Despite Jones' second doping infringement and Lesnar currently being retired from mixed martial arts, talk of the pair fighting one another still rages on.
Jones was asked about a potential fight with the former heavyweight champion earlier this morning during an impromptu Twitter Q&A.
And he revealed that his belief that a fight between himself and Lesnar wouldn't be a foregone conclusion.
In response to a fan's question about the proposed super-fight, Jones said: "I don’t underestimate Brock Lesnar, dudes been whooping a** his whole life.
"He’s just facing a different animal this time that’s all."

Jones then went on to address the size difference between himself and the former heavyweight king, insisting his days wrestling his older brother would stand him in good stead.
He added: "My brother wrestled at 275lbs throughout high school, I’ve been dealing with bigger guys my whole life."
Jones' comments on a potential super-fight with Lesnar come less than 24 hours after UFC president Dana White revealed the pair are still interested in fighting one another.
"I know that Brock's WWE deal is up at the end of the summer, I think," White told TMZ.
"I know he wants to fight so I'm sure we'll end up getting that figured out.
"There are a lot of options. Jon Jones is very interested in Brock Lesnar and Brock Lesnar is very interested in Jon Jones."
