UFC 225: CM Punk rips critics to shreds in x-rated rant ahead of Mike Jackson fight
UFC 225 - CM PUNK has sent critics of his second mixed martial arts fight a stern message.
Punk, real name Phillip Brooks, makes his return to the Octagon this weekend at UFC 225, which takes place in his hometown of Chicago.
Welcoming the former WWE star back to the cage is fellow mixed martial arts rookie Mike Jackson, who also has a 0-1 record to his name.
Punk versus Jackson has been criticised by many in the MMA world, who believe the fight shouldn’t be taking place in MMA’s premier promotion.
The criticism hasn’t gone unnoticed by Punk, who fired back at his and the fight’s detractors in an interview with MMA Junkie.
“I couldn’t give a f**k if they watch or not,” the 39-year-old told said. “Don’t watch.
“If you bought the KISS album that came before they took off their makeup off and you didn’t like it, don’t buy the f***ing album where they take their makeup off. It’s a f***ing gimmick.
“Don’t watch. But you’re still going to go complain about it on Twitter. It’s none of my business what you think of me. I don’t care.”

Punk’s bout with Jackson provides him with the opportunity to erase the memory of his unsuccessful MMA debut at UFC 203, where he suffered a first-round submission loss to Mickey Gall.
And he’s vowed to showcase a new and improved version of himself in his second outing inside the Octagon.
“My first fight, Mickey Gall was the better guy. So it’s just like, ‘Do you walk away from that and just say good job?’ To me, I want to get better,” Punk said during the UFC 225 Countdown.
“My main motivation is just the drive. I’m not chasing money. If anything, you can say I’m chasing glory because I’m chasing that W.
“It’s my second fight and I’ve got a lot to prove. And I’m about to prove it to me and my team.
“You’re about to see a more experienced CM Punk.”
