Conor McGregor vs Khabib: Manager reveals chilling reason why Eagle wants fight
CONOR MCGREGOR is on Khabib Nurmagomedov's hit-list because of his actions at the UFC 223 media day, it has been revealed.
McGregor caused chaos at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York when he stormed the arena with his friends looking for Nurmagomedov.
Upon arrival, the mob discovered Nurmagomedov was on a bus about to leave the venue and began attacking it, with McGregor throwing a dolly through one of its windows.
His antics left Ray Borg and Micheal Chiesa with eye and facial injuries respectively and shook up women's strawweight champion Rose Namajunas.
McGregor's actions haven't sat with well many, least of all Nurmagomedov, who wants to make him pay for them inside the Octagon.
“There’s only one reason Khabib wants to fight him: to make him pay for what he did [in Brooklyn]," Nurmagomedov's manager Ali Abdelaziz told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani.
"For Khbaib, it’s not only about money. It’s about disciplining him.
“That being said, UFC should be talking to Georges [St-Pierre], not Conor.”

Although he wants to punish McGregor, a fight with the Irishman isn't at the forefront of Nurmagomedov's mind right now.
"We believe the fight to make is the Georges St-Pierre fight at 155 pounds,” Abdelaziz said.
“Khabib wants to fight for legacy and not for a soap opera drama show, and we think Conor doesn’t deserve this opportunity.
“The guy hasn’t fought in almost two years.
"Why does he deserve to fight for the title? He should get his a** back in the line and work his way up.”
McGregor, 29, hasn’t fought in mixed martial arts in nearly 19 months, with his last outing being his historic UFC 205 victory over Eddie Alvarez.
The Dubliner’s long-awaited return to the Octagon currently hinges on the outcome of his upcoming court case, the result of his actions in Brooklyn.
