Daniel Cormier defeated Johnson by submission (rear-naked choke; round two, 3:37)
Cormier initially missed weight but controversially hit the 205lb limit minutes later after apparently holding a towel to alleviate some of his weight.
Johnson retired in the wake of the defeat having "already committed himself" to another job outside MMA.
Gegard Mousasi defeated Chris Weidman by TKO (injury stoppage; round 2, 3:13)
The highly-anticipated middleweight encounter ended in confusion as Mousasi landed two massive knees to the head of Weidman.
The referee initially ruled the strikes illegal as Weidman had got his hands to the ground.
