Conor McGregor challenged by former world boxing champion: He will learn to fear me
CONOR McGREGOR will "have his jaw lowered" by Ricardo Mayorga if the pair get in the ring together, according to the Nicaraguan.
Conor McGregor and Ricardo Mayorga are both known for their extensive pre-bout trash-talking
Conor McGregor was granted a boxing licence in California in December and has been waging a war of words against unbeaten fighter Floyd Mayweather.
The Irishman claims to be gunning for a mega-fight against Mayweather but the American is adamant that he is just "blowing smoke".
But now McGregor has been challenged to step into the ring by Mayorga, a former welterweight and light-middleweight world champion.
However, Mayorga is convinced that life will be very different if he faces MMA specialist McGregor in his own preferred environment.
"In boxing, when we step in the ring - he's going to know that I'm a man and he's a woman," Mayorga added.
Conor McGregor became the first ever simultaneous two-weight UFC champion in 2016
"McGregor is wide open when he fights.
"I'm going to lower his jaw to his navel, so he learns to fear me and shows respect."
