Rafael Nadal beaten by STUNNING Pablo Cuevas tweener shot - this is one of best of 2017
THIS is the moment Rafael Nadal was beaten by a stunning tweener shot from Pablo Cuevas at the Paris Masters.
Pablo Cuevas's 'MAGICAL' shot vs Nadal at Rolex Masters
Cuevas went a break down early in their last-16 match yesterday but it didn't stop him showboating with this touch of genius.
Down a break in the first set, Nadal rushes to the net to put the pressure on in the fifth game of the match.
He bunts a backhand straight back at the Uruguayan, who is caught flat-footed on the baseline.
Instead of shuffling around to get a forehand or backhand away, Cuevas remains rooted to the spot.
He allows Nadal to settle into position at the net, lets the ball go between his legs before unleashing a tweener shot that flies past Nadal to win the point.
The miracle moment had the Paris fans on their feet but it wasn't enough to inspire him to victory.
Nadal battled through to win 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 victory in a match lasting 2hr 20mins - despite suffering at one stage with a recurrence of a knee injury that forced him out in Basel.
