Konta became the first British woman to reach the quarter-finals since 1984 when she beat Garcia 6-4 4-6 6-4.
Konta sunk to her knees as she celebrated victory and milked the applause from all corners of a packed Court One.
But Garcia didn't wait for her celebrations to finish and instead rushed off court before Konta was ready.
Garcia, who put a backhand into the net to lose, said: "I was just frustrated with my last ball.
"I mean, she celebrated the way she celebrated. I have nothing to say about it.

"It's a great moment for her. She deserve to stay on court.
"But on the Court One, on Centre, Wimbledon, you have to go together.
"It's always, when you lost, you always are a little bit sad and disappointed and you just want to go away as fast as you can.
"But I'm not frustrated at all by the way she celebrating. I understand 100 per cent."
