Laver Cup schedule: Roger Federer to play TWICE - full mouthwatering Sunday line-up
ROGER FEDERER will play twice on the final day of the Laver Cup as he bids to guide Team Europe to victory.
Victory for the 20-time Grand Slam champion - and chief organiser of the Laver Cup tournament - against Nick Kyrgios on Saturday put Europe 7-1 up.
But a late burst by Team World in the evening session - where Kevin Anderson beat Novak Djokovic and Jack Sock and Nick Kyrgios won the doubles - means the contest is well-poised at 7-5.
With three points available for a win on Sunday, Europe go into it knowing they need two victories from the four matches.
Meanwhile Team World must find three wins to pass the 13 point-mark that will secure the trophy.
Sock and Isner have been sent out to open the final day of action against Federer and Alexander Zverev in the doubles.
Then Federer is back to to take on Isner again - this time at singles - the match after.
Alexander Zverev meets Kevin Anderson in the third match on before Novak Djokovic and Kyrgios are paired up in what could be a Laver Cup decider.
Team World vice-captain Patrick McEnroe says he is in confident mood ahead of day three.
“I’m feeling a little bit better now than I was a few hours ago,” McEnroe said last night.
“When I walked out I felt like tonight was the night, the guys were really committed and they were going to give everything out there. We like our chances going into day three.”
