Laver Cup 2018 results: Team Europe WIN - Roger Federer and Zverev seal Chicago glory
LAVER CUP 2018 RESULTS - Team Europe beat Team World 13-8 to retain the Laver Cup in Chicago.
How does the The Laver Cup format work?
Alexander Zverev came from a set down to beat Kevin Anderson to seal the Laver Cup for Team Europe on a thrilling final day.
Zverev had earlier combined with Roger Federer in the doubles but the Europeans went down to Jack Sock and John Isner.
That put Team World ahead for the first time in Laver Cup history at 8-7 but singles wins for Federer - over Isner - and Zverev ensured victory.
The victorious German said: "It was an unbelievable weekend. We all love it, we enjoy it so much we want to play it every weekend but unfortunately we have other tournaments to play in.
"I mean it was such a close match, not only this one but the whole weekend
"Kevin played unbelievable and I'm just happy to get the win for the team
"We defended the title, that's the most important thing."
