Finn Russell picked up a knock against Ireland but has recovered to retain his place
Ryan Wilson has been forced to miss the France game with an elbow infection and John Barclay has replaced him at blindside flanker, while John Hardie takes his place on the bench despite having only just made his comeback from a three-month spell recovering from an ankle injury.
Fraser Brown meanwhile has overcome an eye injury to retain his place at hooker in what is likely to be the biggest challenge of his 21-cap career - France demonstrated their set-piece power against England while Allan Dell and Zander Fagerson are by no means Scotland's first-choice props.
Stuart Hogg has scored some sensational Six Nations tries
