Warriors deliver BRUTAL message to LeBron James ahead of Game 3 against Cavs
THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS have sent a brutal message to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the NBA Finals.
That's according to ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, who reports that "a couple" Warriors players want to send James out of Cleveland on the back of a sweep in the NBA Finals.
This could be the last time the 33-year-old plays in Cleveland as he could leave in free agency this summer.
It has been widely reported the likes of the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers are the favourites to sign James.
And he is facing the strong possibility of exiting Cleveland off the back of a third NBA Finals defeat in four years, if he decides to leave.
James has been sensational in this year's playoffs, but has often been let down by his support cast.
Rumours will continue to circulate about what he will decide to do in free agency up until he announces his decision.
But Smith claims the Warriors believe James will leave Cleveland.
And he goes on to state some of the players with the defending champions have their heart set on sweeping James.
"[The Warriors] are hell-bent on sweeping LeBron," Smith said on ESPN.
"They think LeBron will end up leaving Cleveland when these Finals are over.
"Their words were 'we want to sweep him out of Cleveland'."
