LeBron James would DOMINATE Michael Jordan: Huge claim made ahead of NBA Finals
LEBRON JAMES has been in sensational form during the postseason, almost single-handedly dragging an under-strength Cleveland Cavaliers side to the NBA Finals for a fourth consecutive year to play the defending champions, Golden State Warriors.
It took a Herculean effort from the 33-year-old to drag the Cavs past the Boston Celtics over seven games in the Eastern Conference finals, culminating in the King playing all 48 minutes of the decisive Game 7 in Boston.
He finished the game one assist shy of a triple-double, scoring 35 points while adding 15 rebounds – a game-high in either stat.
Through 18 games of the postseason, the four-time league MVP is averaging 34 points – his second-highest in the playoffs behind his 2008/09 campaign with the Cavs.
Pundits and fans alike have been running out of superlatives for his play, blowing the GOAT [Greatest Of All Time] conversation wide open once again as he chases down the shadow of Michael Jordan.
During the latest edition of the Bill Simmons Podcast, film-maker Kevin Hench suggested not even Jordan would be equipped to deal with James.
“If Michael Jordan was guarding LeBron, they would have to send a double [team] for him too,” Kevin Hench told the Bill Simmons Podcast.
“Nobody can guard this guy, he’s too big, he’s too strong.
“He has really become a good shooter. What would you do?
“He would back Michael down and dunk on him. I’m sorry, I know it is sacrilege but there is no comparison.
“He’s 80lb heavier than Michael Jordan.”
Game 1 of the NBA Finals tips off at 2am on Friday morning.
