The world's best riders line up for the Qatar Grand Prix
Andrea Dovizioso won the first MotoGP of the season, edging Marc Marquez in a gripping finale in Qatar.
Dovizioso led with four laps remaining as Marquez followed him through to the front.
Marquez took the lead for a split second on the third to last corner.
But the Italian jumped back into a gap and held off his Spanish counterpart to clinch victory for Ducati.
“We did everything perfectly,” Dovizioso said.
“I kept the tires well and managed to beat Marquez once again. Thanks so much to the team, we have worked very well.
“It was not easy to manage the last corner but I managed to cross the line and know I made the right choice.”
Francesco Bagnaia secured victory in Moto2, while Jorge Martin cruised to the chequered flag in Moto3.

Zarco to Honda?
Ahead of the first race of the season, Tech 3 Yamaha star Zarco admitted he would be interested in joining rival Marquez over at Honda.
“Why be afraid? To be Marquez’s teammate could be a nice thing,” he said.
“It’s kind of a dream team, this Repsol Honda team. [When I was younger], I remember [seeing] some pictures of Mick Doohan, then Valentino Rossi, now Marquez.
He added: “I need to wait and take the decision. First of all we do the first few races and then we will know.”
