The NCAA tournament gets underway next week
Selection Sunday is nearly upon us with 32 teams vying for an automatic spot in Conference championship week.
The remaining sides will be picked by a 10-member NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Committee but to avoid potentially missing out, teams will be hoping to gain an automatic invitation.
To do so they need to win their respective conference tournaments which will be finalised by March 11.
The next few days will see a number of teams break college records as basketball fever hits the United States.
March Madness is seen as one of the biggest sporting events across the Atlantic wth TV broadcasters paying billions of dollars to win the rights for the coverage.
Millions tune in to watch the college athletes aim for glory and this weekend sees the start of the 2018 tournament.
